This was the first win in franchise history for Utah, with a 5-2 victory over Chicago. The Phoenix Coyotes relocated to Salt Lake City in April 2024 after the NHL board of governors approved the sale of the team and are temporarily playing the 2024-25 season as the Utah Hockey Club while developing an official team name and brand.
